Corrective Action Effectiveness and Behavior Shaping Fundamentals

Strengthen your ability to develop corrective actions that are not only compliant, but effective and sustainable. This 5-hour interactive workshop equips you with the tools and models to write SMART actions, evaluate their strength, and implement behavioral shaping strategies that support long-term performance improvement. What You'll Learn: • Relative value and effectiveness of human, administrative, and engineering actions • A system-focused model that helps you identify missing supports — like information, tools, or feedback — that contribute to underperformance and inform actions that can be leveraged to improve performance. • A simple model that can help identify the triggers and reinforcements behind worker behaviors, and provide insights into how to change those behaviors • Strategies for writing corrective actions that are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely. • Behavioral Shaping Actions (BSA) and Enabling Actions that can help create and reinforce desirable behaviors and create sustainable behavior change. What Our Clients Say

Hear how our training makes a measurable difference.

Keep these classes small. I think the smaller classroom setup, especially virtually, was a HUGE asset here. Great discussions over the last few days.

This training provided a strong overview of RCE’s. Attendees will now better comprehend the various stages/components of an RCE.

The opportunity to put into practice the learnings and critiques within the process. The course layout was very helpful as it progressed logically. Lastly, the real-life examples were utilized to punctuate the importance of getting cause analysis done correctly.

The class provided some great techniques for handling a root cause as a project which I will utilize to remain more organized. Also, the interviewer skills learned will absolutely be utilized.

The exercises were very good to demonstrate the objectives. I like that we presented with small exercises that reinforced the elements of a root cause prior to being presented with the big exercise on the last day.

The practical application reinforced the information being taught.

It was nice to have perspective from multiple plants and experience levels.

A great explanation of each step in the root cause process. The strength would be the explanation of each step. Knowing why you do would want to do a specific step after hearing how it works and then seeing an example was a great reinforcement. I had done some Level of Effort evaluations previously without any prior training. I was just told to utilize the current company procedures and figure it out. I had always struggled with extent of cause/condition before. This class gave me a better understanding of how to use that tool.
